A pic of my gorgeous niece, 4 months old last week (taken from my mobile so not the greatest quality). She really is lovely.

Ryan Adams live!

Saw Ryan Adams play live in August 2006 and October 2006. One in St Louis, US, and in Shepherds Bush, London. I'll NEVER forget to bring ID with me to a gig ever again in the US - they would barely agree to let me in (even though it states under 18's are allowed) I didn't even want a drink anyway, so what was the problem? I had ot stand in the 'minors' area with all the children. I mean - I'm 28, c'mon!! Still, he was great, though both times the over indulgence of sidekick Neal Casal was a bit much as his support. He's DULL. The London gig was good too (gosh, I even had a beer!) though the audience far less receptive and a bit rude in the UK actually.

If I am a stranger now to you....

Daleks rule!

I wonder what the new Doctor Who series will be like? Christopher Eccleston is a great actor, and I think he's an interesting choice, and I think it's set in Cardiff. But not too sure about Billie Piper being his sidekick... though apprarantly she can act. I REALLY hope they don't make any painful 'love' scenes like they did with the film. SUCH a mistake!

Are you a sinner, or a winner?

Anyone who lives in London should know and love the religious nut with the megaphone who shouts at the shoppers in Oxford Street all day every day- I've even see him as far as Edgware Road scolding us at every turn. He's been lamenting to us 'sinners' as long as I've been living in the City (7 or so years) Will he ever stop? I doubt it!
He's often referring to the public as "zombies" and "materialistic" for going round the shops and, presumably, not sitting in churches reading bibles. I did wonder if he actually has a paid job (surely the church don't condone or support his ramblings) or if he's (without sounding too Tory) sponging off the state. Or maybe he genuinely needs no money or clothes or food, since he has Jesus. Hmmm...
I work at the London College of Fashion at Oxford Circus (don't worry - it's only a support services role) and enjoy my daily spin around the shops to pass my lunch break, looking at the lovely clothes and shoes and acessories that make this city so interesting and vibrant. I may even buy a few items every now and then! Does that make me a 'sinner'? Pah! Materialistic? Well, yes - possibly. What with a trip to NYC coming up at the end of the month too, I should be burning in hell as we speak.
Soulless I may be, but I didn't half manage to get some bargains in this year's sales...now that, in my book, makes me a winner!

Top 10 children shows (no - they don't make 'em like they used to)

Seeing as TV seems to have gone "top whatever" crazy, I thought I'd make my own list. Ah, fond memories...

1) Count Duckula
2) Dogtanian
3) Dungeons & Dragons
4) The Littlest Hobo
5) Batman
6) The Owl Service
7) Hartbeat
8) He-Man
9) Jamie & the magic torch
10)Knightmare (was it spelt like that?)
